One of my all time Favorite tracks.

Sugarcane denim 1966.

The pair on the right once upon a time looked like the pair on the left, after years of love it was time for a new pair of 66’s.

Anonymous asked: A statement rather than a question. Your blog is an incredibly good read, so much so I went back to the very start just to follow your story. My Thursday evening has been reluctantly devoted to you...I just could not stop reading. When you make it to the big time and start up your own clothing line I want to work for you! Keep living the dream.

Wow!!! Thank you very much, i really appreciate it.

manhattanmadness asked: Hey man, thank you incredibly for the follow! You've got an absolutely awesome blog and I'm really enjoying all the RL posts! I also see you've made it to NY from Australia and I'm wondering how easy it was for you because I'm from the boring ol' capital that is Canberra and I'm interested in trying to go over to NY next year to travel but (if I can) work? Keep up the flippin' sweet work! Yours, The York.

Thank you for the complement. As for getting over to NY & being able to work it all depends, if you are currently studying full time or have completed your studies within the past 12 months you can apply for a J1 student working visa and that allows you to work in the US for 12 months. When you are here there is a possible option of finding work in a professional field and getting your work to sponsor you to stay and work for them. There are a few options but those two seem to be the most common.

Thanks again.

Anonymous asked: What brand are the bracelets you have in the Pre work Morning coffee…. photo?

Bottega Veneta.

So I finally got my pants back & as you may have seen from an earlier post I selected the textiles from the garment district in NYC, designed them & had them made. The pant cut is based off a 1940’s cut with a high waist and full leg. I then decided I wanted side adjusters and no belt loops as this is traditional Savile Row tailoring, it gives the pant a much more refined look as there is no visual of belt loops or buttons. Also added 1.5 inch cuffs to the pant, I think cuffs on pants are making a huge come back as well as pleated fronts but i am not game on pleats just yet.

Really happy with the construction but i will change the cut a little as they are a really full leg and will tapper them in maybe an inch through the thigh and add half an inch to the cuffs. Cant wait for pair number two they be should spot on.

P.S. Please excuse how creased they are i just pulled them out the bag :)

New Shoes. Ralph Lauren P.L.

I actually met with the head of shoe design for Ralph Lauren so i know the details and work that go into their shoes and it is really interesting to see a shoe goes from a sketch all the way to the finished product. Iv been eying these off for about a week and so glad i bought them, they are perfect for fall with the colour combo & a Norwegian Welt, this basically means that the welt of the shoe is tighter making them more water resistant. But what about the suede upper? People freak out when they get suede wet but little do they know that it is perfectly fine to get suede wet as it is still a leather & being a dark colour like this you wont even notice it.

dare-2-dream asked: I'm incredibly jealous of your rooftop view. In which part of the city do you live?

West Village… :)

The view from my rooftop.
I love sitting out here at night + i get free wifi up here :)
